In Loving Memory of Tony Vescolani – Marathon, Florida
On the afternoon of Friday, April 18, 2025, the serene waters of Marathon in the Florida Keys bore witness to a somber discovery. At approximately 1:26 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call reporting a body floating near a boat slip off Sombrero Boulevard. The deceased was identified as Tony Vescolani, an 84-year-old resident of Lansing, Michigan .
Authorities have stated that no signs of foul play are evident at this time. However, an autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death . Detectives are diligently reviewing surveillance footage and seeking any witnesses who might provide insight into Tony’s final moments.
Tony’s unexpected passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. Known for his warmth and kindness, he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
