With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Gordan Dale Rice of Little Elm, Texas, who departed this world on April 18, 2025, at the age of 50. Gordan’s journey on this earth was one marked by deep compassion, enduring love, and unwavering commitment to family and community. While his physical presence may no longer be with us, the light he brought into the lives of so many will continue to shine brightly for years to come.
Gordan was the very definition of a devoted husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend. He is survived by his cherished wife, Jennifer Rice, who was not only his life partner but his greatest supporter and confidante through every twist and turn of life. Their marriage, built on mutual respect, laughter, and unconditional love, stood as a model of strength and partnership.
He leaves behind two beloved children, Savannah and Tyler, who were the center of his world. Gordan’s eyes would light up whenever he spoke of his kids. He was their teacher, their cheerleader, and their greatest advocate, always encouraging them to follow their dreams and face life with courage and kindness.
Family was everything to Gordan. He also leaves behind a large extended family and a close-knit circle of friends who considered him a brother, a mentor, and a pillar of support. Whether it was lending a hand during tough times, offering wise advice, or simply being present, Gordan had a way of making others feel seen, valued, and loved.
Professionally, Gordan was known for his integrity, dedication, and work ethic. Whether he was tackling a big project or lending support to a colleague, he carried himself with a humility that inspired those around him. He was a problem solver, a team player, and someone you could always count on.
Outside of work, Gordan had a passion for the simple joys of life—fishing at sunrise, grilling in the backyard, cheering on the Cowboys, and spending quiet evenings with his family. He loved nature, good music, classic cars, and deep conversations. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and his laugh—genuine and contagious—was one of his most memorable traits.
Though his time with us was far too short, Gordan’s life was rich with meaning and marked by the kind of love that doesn’t end with goodbye. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the lives he touched with his kindness, strength, and generosity.

A memorial service to honor Gordan’s life will be held at a later date, where loved ones will gather to share stories, shed tears, and remember the man who meant so much to so many.
