Dr. Uribe earned his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1978. He subsequently completed residencies in general surgery at Lankenau Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, along with a fellowship in hematology and internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital. His extensive training laid the foundation for a career spanning over four decades, during which he became a leading figure in vascular surgery.
As Director of Surgical Anatomy at Lankenau Medical Center and an Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Uribe was instrumental in advancing surgical techniques and educating future generations of surgeons.
