Timothy’s vibrant spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. His passing is a tremendous loss not only to his family but to the entire community of Bakersfield.

Born and raised in Bakersfield, Timothy carried the values of kindness, resilience, and loyalty throughout his life. He approached each day with a rare combination of energy, optimism, and genuine care for others. Whether he was lending a helping hand, sharing a heartfelt laugh, or offering words of encouragement, Timothy’s presence was a source of comfort and joy.

He is survived by a loving and devoted family who will forever cherish his memory. Timothy was the beloved son of Larry and Debbie Zittel, whose steadfast support and love shaped him into the remarkable person he became. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Shelby, whose partnership was built on deep love, laughter, and countless shared dreams. Together, they built a beautiful life, centered around their greatest pride and joy: their two sons, Beau and Nixon, who will carry their father’s spirit, strength, and compassion into the future.

Timothy was also a cherished brother to Patti, Suzanne, and Jill, with whom he shared a bond strengthened by years of memories, mutual support, and unconditional love. His extended family and wide circle of friends remember him for his loyalty, quick wit, and the way he could light up any room with his infectious smile and genuine warmth.

A service celebrating Timothy’s remarkable life will be held on May 2, 2025, at Celebration Church-Northwest in Bakersfield, CA. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Timothy are invited to gather in his honor, to remember, to grieve, and to celebrate a life well lived.

Though his time with us was far too short, Timothy Michael Zittel’s legacy of love, kindness, and integrity will live on in all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire, and his spirit will remain a guiding light for his family, friends, and community.
