Jiggly Caliente, born Bianca Castro-Arabejo, a beloved star of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” passed away at the age of 44 on April 27, 2025. Her death occurred just days after undergoing a right leg amputation due to a severe infection. Her family announced her passing via Instagram, sharing that she died peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Jiggly rose to fame in 2012 as a contestant on season four of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and later appeared on “All Stars” Season 6 in 2021. She was also known for her activism, vibrant personality, and advocacy for the transgender community, having come out as transgender in 2016. Beyond her drag performances, she acted in shows like “Pose,” “Search Party,” and “Saturday Night Live.” In 2022, she joined “Drag Race Philippines” as a judge for three seasons.
Born in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines, Jiggly moved to the United States in 1991 at age 10 with her mother and brother, settling in Sunnyside, Queens, New York City. Her drag name was inspired by the Pokémon character Jigglypuff.
Jiggly’s contributions to the entertainment industry and the LGBTQ+ community were significant. She co-hosted “Translation,” the first talk show on a major network hosted by an all-trans cast, and released her debut studio album “T.H.O.T. Process” in 2018.
