In Loving Memory of Laura Kallal
Oakland, California
1987 – 2025
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Laura Kallal, who left us far too soon on January 5, 2025, at the age of 37. Laura’s passing is a profound loss for all who knew her. She touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and unshakable spirit.
Born and raised in Oakland, California, Laura was a bright light in her community from a young age. She grew up surrounded by a close-knit family who nurtured her love for learning, creativity, and service to others. A proud daughter, wife, and mother, Laura’s life was a testament to compassion, strength, and dedication. Her infectious laughter, empathetic heart, and endless energy made her a beloved friend and confidante to many.
Laura was an active participant in community events, volunteering regularly at local shelters, schools, and environmental initiatives. She had a special gift for making everyone feel seen and valued, whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply her attentive presence. Professionally, she was admired for her leadership and innovation, but it was her personal kindness that left a lasting impact wherever she went.
Above all, Laura’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving parents, her devoted husband, and her cherished children, who were the center of her world. She also leaves behind a wide circle of relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
To honor Laura’s life, two celebrations of life will be held:
- May 3, 2025 – a memorial service open to all who wish to pay their respects and share in remembering Laura’s beautiful legacy.
- May 10, 2025 – a second service, with a visitation preceding the ceremony, allowing loved ones to gather, reflect, and offer their condolences in a more intimate setting.
Both gatherings will be opportunities not only to mourn our tremendous loss but to celebrate the incredible life Laura lived — a life full of purpose, love, and unwavering kindness.
Though Laura’s time with us was far too short, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, the causes she championed, and the family she so dearly loved. We are grateful to have known her, and we will carry her memory in our hearts always.
Rest in peace, dear Laura. You will never be forgotten.
