The driver, a 32-year-old man from Cedar, was wanted for felony crimes, including vehicle theft in Antrim County. The suspect fled from deputies, and approximately 1.5 miles into the pursuit, the SUV crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with the van carrying the Charlevoix golf team. The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
