In Loving Memory of Mr. Kwasi Agbottah and Mrs. Elizabeth Agbottah

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of Mr. Kwasi Agbottah—affectionately known to many as Mr. K—and his beloved wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Agbottah. The couple tragically lost their lives in a car accident this past weekend in Detroit. Their sudden and untimely passing has sent waves of grief throughout our Wellspring family and the greater community they so selflessly served.

Mr. K was not only our esteemed Lead Instructor here at Wellspring but also a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. His work extended far beyond the classroom. He was a mentor, a guide, and a source of inspiration for countless young people. Day after day, he poured his energy, his knowledge, and above all, his heart into shaping the lives of the youth under his care. His passion for teaching and his genuine belief in the potential of every student made him one of the most beloved figures in our organization.

Together with his wife Elizabeth, Mr. K embraced a life of purpose rooted in faith, service, and compassion. The Agbottahs were widely recognized as urban missionaries—quiet, humble leaders who ministered through action as much as through word. Their home and hearts were open to many, and they touched lives in ways that words can hardly capture. Whether serving meals, organizing youth events, or simply lending a listening ear, Kwasi and Elizabeth lived lives that exemplified love and sacrifice.

The legacy they leave behind is one of courage, kindness, and conviction. Their deep faith, unrelenting service, and compassion for others will continue to live on in the many lives they impacted—and most especially in the lives of their five beautiful children, who now carry the torch of their parents’ profound values and vision.

Our hearts are broken alongside theirs. We mourn this irreplaceable loss not just as colleagues and friends, but as a community deeply shaped by their presence. We extend our deepest sympathies to their children, their extended family, and everyone who is grieving during this time of unimaginable pain.

In the days ahead, as we come to terms with this tragedy, we ask for your prayers and support for the Agbottah family. Let us stand together in love, in faith, and in remembrance of two extraordinary people who gave so much and asked for so little in return.

We will be sharing more information soon on how we plan to honor their memory and support their children in the wake of this loss.

May Mr. Kwasi Agbottah and Mrs. Elizabeth Agbottah rest in eternal peace. Their light will never be forgotten.
