A tragic shooting incident unfolded late Tuesday night in Minneapolis’s Phillips neighborhood, resulting in one fatality and three injuries

The Minneapolis Police Department reported that officers responded to multiple 911 calls about gunfire near the 2700 block of Bloomington Avenue at approximately 8:42 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered three men with apparent gunshot wounds, one of whom was unresponsive. All three were transported to a hospital, where the unresponsive man was later pronounced dead. A fourth victim arrived at the hospital separately, also suffering from a gunshot wound. Police believe all four individuals were injured in the same incident .

The shooting occurred near Fire Station 5, a location that has seen previous incidents of violence. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the Minneapolis Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case. This incident marks the 70th homicide in Minneapolis this year, highlighting the ongoing challenges the city faces with gun violence .
