On May 12, 2025, at approximately 11:05 PM, the Michigan State Police Brighton Post responded to a tragic two-vehicle crash on M-14 Highway in Superior Township, Washtenaw County. The accident, which occurred near the intersection of eastbound M-14 and Vorhies Road, involved a collision between a 2009 Acura MDX and a semi-truck.

Incident Details

According to the preliminary investigation, the 2009 Acura MDX, driven by a 26-year-old male from Whitmore Lake, MI, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of M-14. In a tragic turn of events, the vehicle collided head-on with a semi-truck, driven by a 25-year-old male from Ontario, Canada, who was traveling eastbound on the same highway.

The driver of the Acura sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. In contrast, the semi-truck driver suffered only minor injuries. Emergency medical personnel were quick to respond, but sadly, they were unable to save the life of the Acura driver.
