In Loving Memory of Keenan Wayne Doyel

Keenan Wayne Doyel of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed away far too soon on May 8, 2025, at the age of 27. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, yet his memory continues to shine brightly through the countless lives he touched.

Born on July 15, 1997, Keenan was a vibrant spirit from the very beginning. He was the beloved son and a cherished brother whose intelligence, compassion, and joyful energy brought light and warmth to everyone around him. From a young age, Keenan demonstrated a natural curiosity about the world and a deep empathy for others—qualities that would later guide his path in life.

Keenan was a proud graduate of Idaho State University, where he earned his degree in social work. He was driven by a profound desire to help people, to listen without judgment, and to be a force for good in his community. His dedication to social work wasn’t just a profession—it was a calling. He believed in the power of kindness, in the importance of advocacy, and in building a better world through understanding and compassion.

Beyond his professional life, Keenan was a young man of many passions. He was an avid soccer enthusiast, often found on local fields both playing and cheering from the sidelines. The sport offered him both joy and a sense of connection with others. He also had a deep love for music, finding solace and expression in its rhythms and melodies. Whether he was strumming his guitar, curating playlists for friends, or attending live performances, music was a constant companion in his life. Keenan also found peace and inspiration in nature. He cherished time spent outdoors, whether hiking through Idaho’s scenic trails, camping under the stars, or simply taking in the beauty of the natural world.

Those who knew Keenan speak of his infectious laugh, his thoughtful conversations, and his unwavering loyalty. He had a unique ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to be there for someone in need, offering not just help but genuine care and love.

Keenan’s legacy lives on through his family and friends, who will continue to honor his memory by living with the same compassion and courage that he exemplified. His loss is deeply felt, but so too is the impact of his life—a legacy of love, service, and vibrant humanity.

He is survived by his loving family, who will forever cherish the time they had with him and strive to carry forward the light he brought into the world. Though his time with us was brief, the memories Keenan created, the values he upheld, and the love he gave so freely will endure.

A memorial service to celebrate Keenan’s life will be held in Chubbuck, where the community that he loved and served so dearly will come together to remember and honor him.

In the words of one of Keenan’s favorite songs, “Though you may be gone from our sight, you are never gone from our hearts.”
