In Loving Memory of Judd Rowan Schmitz

With solemn reverence and hearts full of sorrow, we remember Judd Rowan Schmitz, who passed away far too soon on May 17, 2025, at the tender age of 10. Though his time on earth was brief, Judd’s life was radiant and full of meaning. He brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever be a light that guides and comforts us in the darkest of days.

Judd was a spirited and loving child whose heart overflowed with kindness. His smile could brighten even the gloomiest day, and his laugh was nothing short of contagious. Whether he was playing outside, sharing his favorite toys, or simply snuggling close to his loved ones, Judd brought warmth and wonder into every moment. He had a curiosity that was boundless, a soul that was gentle, and a spirit that was brave beyond his years.

Though young, Judd had an incredible way of connecting with people—offering friendship, compassion, and joy in his own unique way. His days were filled with wonder, discovery, and love, and those who knew him saw in him a light that lifted spirits and inspired hearts.

He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Jon and LeeAnn Schmitz, and his devoted sister and best friend, Wriglee. Judd’s absence leaves a space that can never be filled, yet his presence will continue to live on in the countless treasured memories shared by his family. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, and the community that embraced him with open arms.

The Schmitz family has shown incredible strength and grace through unimaginable pain, and we ask that you keep them in your hearts and prayers during this profoundly difficult time. The loss of a child leaves a wound that no words can fully heal, but it is through our shared love and support that we can help carry the weight of this sorrow.

As we honor Judd’s life, let us also reflect on the beauty he brought into this world. Let us remember the sound of his laughter, the sparkle in his eyes, and the joy he found in life’s simplest pleasures. Let us cherish the way he loved—and was so deeply loved in return.

Though his journey was brief, Judd left an indelible mark. He taught us how to love without limits, to appreciate every moment, and to hold close the ones who matter most. He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

Rest peacefully, sweet Judd. You are forever our sunshine.
