Mary Rose Simbulan Kidd, lovingly called “Mayo” by all who knew her, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Wentzville, Missouri, on May 20, 2025, at the age of 40. Her passing marked the end of a valiant and inspiring battle with breast cancer — a journey she navigated with immense grace, courage, and unwavering strength. Mayo was surrounded in her final moments by her beloved family, just as she had always surrounded them with her own boundless love throughout her life.
Mary Rose was more than a devoted wife and mother; she was a vibrant soul who lit up every room she entered. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and loved — an innate kindness that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether through her infectious laugh, her comforting words, or her warm, nourishing meals, Mayo had a way of touching lives deeply and meaningfully.
Born in 1985, Mary Rose brought warmth and vitality to every chapter of her life. She had an insatiable zest for life — one that shone most brightly through her love of travel. Exploring new places and cultures brought her great joy, and she made it a point to experience the world with her family, creating lasting memories that her daughters will carry with them forever. Alongside her love for travel, she had an undeniable passion for cooking. Her kitchen was her sanctuary — a place of creation, celebration, and connection. Her home-cooked meals were more than food; they were an expression of her love, bringing family and friends together around the table in laughter and shared stories.
Mayo’s most cherished role was that of a mother and wife. She was the heart of her family — a steadfast presence of love, encouragement, and wisdom. Her daughters, Natalie and Gabriella, were the light of her life, and she poured herself wholeheartedly into raising them with compassion, confidence, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple, meaningful moments. Her husband, George Kidd, was her rock and partner in all things. Their love was evident in every shared glance and quiet moment — a bond built on mutual respect, deep affection, and enduring friendship.
Mary Rose’s legacy will live on not only through her family but also through the countless people she inspired with her resilience, generosity, and authenticity. She was a woman who showed what it meant to fight with grace, to love without limits, and to find joy even in hardship.
She is survived by her devoted husband, George Kidd; her beautiful daughters, Natalie and Gabriella Kidd; and her loving extended family and friends who were all enriched by her life. Though her time on this earth was far too short, the depth of her impact and the beauty of her spirit will be felt for generations.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary Rose’s extraordinary life will be held on May 27, 2025, at Church in the Falls, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the joy she brought into their lives. Following the service, she will be cremated, as per her wishes.
Mary Rose Simbulan Kidd will be remembered not just for how she died, but for how she lived — boldly, beautifully, and full of heart.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
