On the morning of May 25, 2025, deputies from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at a residence on the 200 block of Woodland Trail in Warner Robins. Upon arrival around 6:35 a.m., they discovered the bodies of 29-year-old Re’Dashia Boston and her 49-year-old mother, Virginia Boston, both deceased from gunshot wounds. The scene was immediately classified as a double homicide.

The Suspect

Investigators quickly identified Rashad Williams, 29, of Cordele, as a person of interest. Williams was the boyfriend of Re’Dashia Boston. A multi-agency manhunt ensued, involving the Crisp and Worth County Sheriff’s Offices. By 4:00 p.m., Williams was located at an abandoned farmhouse in Warwick, Georgia, approximately 50 miles south of Warner Robins. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Houston County Detention Center, where he faces two counts of murder.

Community Reaction

The double homicide has left the Warner Robins community in shock. Neighbors and friends described Re’Dashia and Virginia Boston as compassionate and devoted individuals. Re’Dashia was known for her ambition, while Virginia was remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Local residents have expressed their grief and disbelief over the tragedy.

Domestic Violence Awareness

While authorities have not released a full motive, the relationship between Williams and Re’Dashia Boston has brought renewed attention to the issue of domestic violence. Experts note that domestic abuse can escalate dangerously, especially when victims attempt to leave or set boundaries. Sheriff Matt Moulton emphasized the importance of vigilance and proactive measures in addressing signs of domestic abuse.

Legal Proceedings

Williams is currently held without bond, and his initial court appearance is expected in the coming days. Prosecutors are preparing to pursue the case vigorously, with the possibility of additional charges as the investigation continues. Detectives are working to piece together the timeline leading up to the killings and to determine if there were any prior warning signs or documented incidents of abuse.

Support and Resources

In response to the tragedy, local churches and advocacy groups are offering counseling services and domestic violence education. A memorial is being planned in Warner Robins to honor the lives of Re’Dashia and Virginia Boston.
