It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Henry Urbanski Levering, of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who departed this world on May 24, 2025, at the tender age of 27. Henry’s life, though far too brief, was filled with meaning, connection, and compassion. He was a beloved son, a devoted friend, a kind soul, and a bright light to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born in 1997, Henry grew up in the heart of Mount Airy, where he developed deep roots and strong relationships with the people and places that shaped him. His warmth, intelligence, and gentle humor left an impression wherever he went. Whether it was through small acts of kindness or deep, thoughtful conversations, Henry had a rare ability to make others feel truly seen and heard. His presence was calming, his smile contagious, and his heart open to all.
Those closest to Henry speak of his curious mind and creative spirit. He had a passion for literature, music, and the natural world—finding joy in both quiet moments and meaningful connection. Henry was a thoughtful listener and a quiet leader, known for his depth of empathy and his unwavering support for those he loved.
Henry’s departure leaves an unfillable space in the lives of his family and friends. His memory, however, will live on in countless ways: in the laughter he shared, the wisdom he imparted, and the love he so freely gave. In moments of reflection and remembrance, his spirit will remain a guiding light.
A memorial service to honor Henry’s life and legacy will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Mount Airy. All who knew and loved him are invited to attend, to celebrate his life, share memories, and support one another in grieving a loss that touches the very core of our community.
In this time of sorrow, let us wrap Henry’s family and friends in our deepest sympathy and hold them close in our thoughts and prayers. May the legacy of love he leaves behind offer comfort in the days to come.
Though Henry is no longer with us in body, his light endures—in every heart he touched, and in every memory that lives on.
“You may be gone from our sight, but you are never gone from our hearts.”
Rest in peace, Henry. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
