A Community Mourns: Remembering the Life and Legacy of Coach Shawn
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Coach Shawn. His loss is not just felt by one family, but by an entire community that had the privilege of knowing, learning from, and growing under his leadership. Coach Shawn was more than a coach—he was a mentor, a guide, a role model, and a father figure to many. His presence was powerful and uplifting, and his impact will continue to be felt for generations.
Coach Shawn dedicated his life to shaping young minds and spirits, pouring his heart into the lives of the youth in our community. He was hands-on with so many of us through the years, and it’s no exaggeration to say he helped raise generations of men. Through teamwork, hard work, dedication, and discipline, he taught us more than how to win a game—he taught us how to face life.
Those lessons still echo in our lives today. Coach, thank you for your selfless investment in us. Thank you for pushing us to be better, not only on the field but in everything we do. Your words, your discipline, your encouragement—it all mattered. You taught us how to stand tall, to never quit, to believe in ourselves, and to have each other’s backs. These are values we carry into our homes, our workplaces, and our communities.
To the Stewart Family, on behalf of the Royal Oak Township community, I extend our deepest love, prayers, and condolences. Coach Shawn was not just yours—he belonged to all of us, and we grieve with you. Please know that your loss is shared by many, and that his memory lives on in the lives he touched and the men and women he helped shape.
We are praying for your strength, your comfort, and your peace during this time of grief. May God grant Coach Shawn everlasting paradise, and may you find solace in knowing the tremendous legacy he leaves behind. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
Rest in power, Coach. Thank you for everything.
