Fatal Shooting in Northview Heights Under Active Investigation by Pittsburgh Police
PITTSBURGH — In the early hours of the morning, just before 1:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 1 were dispatched to the 100 block of Hazlett Street in Northview Heights after receiving a four-round ShotSpotter alert. The sophisticated gunshot detection technology indicated multiple shots had been fired in the area, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers entered a residence on Hazlett Street where they discovered an adult male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
