UPDATE | HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – SUSPECT WANTED

Hart County, GA – May 31, 2025

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a tragic homicide that occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, May 31, 2025. At approximately 4:49 PM, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence located at 45 Barton Road, Royston, GA 30662. Deputies were joined at the scene by Hart County EMS.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts by emergency medical personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. She has been identified as Breiana Danielle Johnson, age 34, a resident of Royston, Georgia. Her family has been notified, and the Hart County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest condolences during this devastating time.

WANTED SUSPECT

Investigators with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office have identified a suspect in connection with this homicide. Greata Nichole Thomas, also known as Greata Nichole Mobley, is currently wanted for murder. Thomas is described as a 26-year-old white female, standing 5 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing approximately 97 pounds.

Authorities believe Thomas may be traveling in a 2008 grey Honda Accord, bearing Alabama license plate 13ABB80. Her direction of travel is currently unknown, and law enforcement agencies across the region have been alerted to be on the lookout for this suspect and the vehicle.

The public is urged not to approach Greata Nichole Thomas if she is spotted. She should be considered armed and dangerous.
