The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement at 7:41 PM EDT, warning of hazardous weather conditions expected to persist through 8:15 PM EDT.

Storm Details:

According to Doppler radar, the storm line was last tracked extending from near Glennville to near Ludowici, moving east at 30 mph. These storms are packing significant punch, with:

• Wind Gusts: Up to 50–55 mph
• Hail: Up to nickel-size (0.88 inches)

Hazards and Impacts:

• Strong Winds: Winds of this magnitude can break tree limbs, damage lightweight structures, and blow around unsecured outdoor items such as patio furniture, trash bins, and decorations. Power outages may occur in isolated spots due to falling limbs or blown transformers.
• Hail: While relatively small, hail can cause minor damage to vehicles, shingles, and sensitive outdoor plants or equipment.
• Lightning: Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning has been reported. Lightning is unpredictable and dangerous—it can strike up to 10 miles from a storm cell.
