ALLENTOWN, PA — Triple Shooting Outside Allentown Nightclub Leaves Three Injured; Investigation Underway

In a harrowing scene that unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning, a triple shooting outside a popular Allentown nightclub has left the community shaken and law enforcement scrambling for answers. The incident occurred near 1179 Airport Road, just after 2:00 a.m., in the parking lot of a well-known nightlife venue frequently crowded on weekends.

According to the Allentown Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene following multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were located at the scene, while the third had already been transported to a nearby hospital by private vehicle.

Emergency medical personnel quickly rendered aid to the two on-site victims, whose conditions have not yet been officially released. The third victim, according to hospital officials, remains hospitalized with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting took place during peak closing hours when dozens of patrons were exiting the nightclub. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a rapid succession of gunshots followed by screams and a rush of people fleeing the scene. “It was chaos,” said one witness, who asked not to be named. “One minute people were laughing and walking to their cars, and the next we were all ducking and running.”

Detectives and forensic teams worked through the night and into the morning, securing the area and collecting evidence. The parking lot and surrounding blocks were cordoned off with police tape as investigators scoured for shell casings, surveillance footage, and possible eyewitnesses. At least one vehicle at the scene appeared to have been struck by gunfire.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and suspect information remains limited. Police are actively interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video from surrounding businesses to determine the sequence of events and identify any individuals involved.

Authorities have not yet confirmed a motive but say there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public. The Allentown Police Department has called on community members who were present or have relevant information to come forward, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in advancing the investigation.

In a statement released early Sunday morning, Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca said, “We understand the concerns of residents and business owners following an incident of this nature. Let me be clear — our department will pursue every lead to bring those responsible to justice. We are thankful for the swift response of our officers and EMS teams, which likely prevented further harm.”

The nightclub, which has not yet publicly commented, is facing scrutiny regarding security protocols and crowd control during peak hours. Some community leaders have already called for increased police presence in nightlife corridors and more stringent safety measures at local venues.

As the investigation continues, Allentown residents are reminded that gun violence can erupt anywhere and at any time, and the responsibility to report suspicious behavior and aid in investigations is shared by all members of the community.

Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact the Allentown Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division or submit anonymous tips through the Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers hotline.
