In Loving Memory of Anna “Betsy” Elizabeth Rodenhuis Jasper (1985–2025)
Minneapolis, Kansas
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anna “Betsy” Elizabeth Rodenhuis Jasper, who departed this life on June 1st, 2025, at the age of 40 following a sudden and devastating stroke. Her loss has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, especially her close-knit family and wide circle of friends.
Born and raised in Minneapolis, Kansas, Betsy was a woman who radiated warmth, compassion, and a fierce love for those she held dear. She was best known for her boundless energy during family gatherings, her joyful spirit, and her ability to light up a room with laughter and love. Betsy’s presence was more than a comfort — it was the glue that often brought people together, whether around a dinner table or at impromptu backyard get-togethers.
In honoring Betsy’s final wishes, her family — co-organized by Amy Wedgewood and Nicole Korbe — has launched a fundraiser to help bring her home to Kansas for burial beside her beloved mother, whose memory Betsy held close throughout her life. This final resting place, back where her roots began, will serve as a sacred site for those who want to visit, reflect, and continue to feel her presence.
The fundraiser also aims to cover expenses associated with a celebration of life ceremony — a gathering that Betsy would have wanted to be filled not with sadness, but with stories, laughter, good food, and shared memories. Her family is working tirelessly to ensure that this memorial truly captures the essence of who Betsy was: a vibrant woman who loved deeply, cared endlessly, and lived life with authenticity and humor.
Betsy is survived by a wide and loving family, including siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who became family along the way. Each carries a unique memory of her kindness — whether it was a supportive phone call, a homemade dessert she surprised you with, or simply the way she always made you feel seen and heard.
To those who wish to support Betsy’s family during this time, donations of any amount are sincerely appreciated. Every contribution will go toward easing the financial burden and making sure Betsy is honored in the way she so richly deserves.
In a world often too busy to pause, Betsy reminded us to celebrate the people in our lives, to find joy in the small things, and to love without restraint. Though her time with us was far too short, the legacy she leaves behind — one of laughter, love, and light — will continue to resonate for years to come.
Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers, and consider sharing the fundraiser to help bring Betsy home. Together, we can ensure her final journey is one of peace, honor, and remembrance.
Rest in love, Betsy. You will always be missed and never forgotten.
