According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), agents were called in to assist the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police, who serve areas of tribal jurisdiction. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered 20-year-old Dylan McGee deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. A 21-year-old woman was also found critically injured, having sustained similar wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where, as of the evening of June 11, she remained in critical condition and was “fighting for her life.”

In a brief update, OSBI confirmed that there are no suspects currently at large, suggesting that authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
