GREENBELT, MARYLAND — The Greenbelt Police Department has issued an urgent alert as officers and detectives work tirelessly to locate a critically missing juvenile, 13-year-old Devin Andrew Kombe. Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the young boy, who was last seen late Friday night.

According to police, Devin was last observed at approximately 11:40 p.m. on June 14, 2025, near the 6200 block of Breezewood Drive, a residential neighborhood located in the northern section of Greenbelt. At the time of his disappearance, Devin was wearing all black clothing, though additional details about his attire or possible direction of travel are still under investigation.

Devin is described as a Black male, 13 years old, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. His family and loved ones are deeply concerned for his wellbeing, and the police have classified his case as a critical missing persons investigation due to his age and the unknown circumstances of his disappearance.

Greenbelt Police have assigned Detective Fernandez to lead the investigation and have mobilized additional resources to search the surrounding area. Officers have been canvassing neighborhoods, speaking with local residents, and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and apartment complexes. Flyers with Devin’s photo and description are being circulated online and throughout the community in hopes of generating leads.

“We are deeply concerned for Devin’s safety and are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything—even the smallest detail—to come forward immediately,” said a spokesperson for the Greenbelt Police Department. “Time is critical in cases involving missing children, and the community’s eyes and ears can make all the difference.”

As of Saturday afternoon, there is no information to suggest that foul play is involved, but investigators are not ruling out any possibilities. Devin’s disappearance is being treated with the utmost urgency, and police are actively following up on all tips and leads.

Authorities are especially encouraging anyone who was in or near the 6200 block of Breezewood Drive around the time Devin was last seen to check doorbell cameras, dashcams, or home surveillance footage for anything unusual or that might help establish his movements.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Devin Andrew Kombe is urged to contact Detective Fernandez directly by email at ifernandez@greenbeltmd.gov, by calling 240-532-9399, or by contacting the Greenbelt Police Department at 301-474-7200.

In addition to reaching out to authorities, community members are encouraged to share official bulletins across social media platforms to help raise awareness and keep Devin’s face and name visible.

The Greenbelt Police Department expresses gratitude for the support already received and continues to ask the public to remain vigilant. Devin’s family has not spoken publicly at this time, but sources close to the case say they are devastated and praying for his safe return.
