Richmond, Virginia :With broken hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the untimely passing of Patrice Christina Daye, a beloved daughter, devoted mother, and cherished friend, who left this world far too soon on June 12, 2025, just one day before her 34th birthday. Patrice’s departure has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts she touched.
Patrice was known for her radiant smile, generous heart, and vibrant personality. Whether with a kind word, a heartfelt laugh, or an unwavering show of support, she brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to be in her presence. Her energy was magnetic, her compassion limitless. Patrice had a way of lifting spirits, bringing people together, and reminding us all of the importance of love, family, and community.
Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Patrice was a proud daughter to Beverly Epps Clarke and Derek Daye, both of whom instilled in her the values of perseverance, faith, and integrity. As a mother, Patrice poured her soul into raising her children, Jae’Niya Latrice Ellis and Jae’Len Antione Ellis. She was their guiding light, their greatest protector, and their loudest cheerleader. Patrice took immense pride in her children’s accomplishments and was devoted to nurturing their dreams and happiness.
Patrice’s life was a testament to resilience and hope. She navigated life’s challenges with grace and courage, always placing the needs of her loved ones before her own. She was more than a mother and daughter—she was a sister, a confidant, a source of strength, and a beacon of hope for many. Her kindness extended beyond family, and her generosity of spirit made her a pillar in her community.
In her free time, Patrice loved music, celebrating holidays with family, uplifting others with positive messages, and sharing moments of laughter and reflection with those she held close. She had an innate ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued. Her legacy will live on in the lives she helped shape and the many memories she leaves behind.
Patrice is survived not only by her children and parents but by a host of family members, friends, and loved ones who will carry her spirit forward with love and reverence. Though her physical presence is gone, the imprint of her soul is indelible.
A funeral service to honor Patrice Christina Daye will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Mimms Funeral Home in Richmond, Virginia. Family, friends, and all those touched by Patrice’s life are welcome to attend, celebrate her memory, and pay tribute to the remarkable woman she was.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who loved Patrice to consider sharing photos, letters, or stories for a memory book being compiled in her honor.
