PITTSBURGH, PA — A tragic shooting on Monday evening, June 23, 2025, has left 18-year-old Isiah Brewer dead and another man injured, shaking the Crafton Heights neighborhood and prompting an urgent police investigation that stretched across multiple scenes in Pittsburgh. There, police discovered a male victim, later identified as Isiah Brewer, lying unresponsive in the backyard of a home.

Shooting Unfolds Across Two Locations

The incident began on Middletown Road near Runnymede Street, where officers responded to reports of gunfire. There, police discovered a male victim, later identified as Isiah Brewer, lying unresponsive in the backyard of a home. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and torso. Officers administered emergency aid until medics arrived and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, Brewer succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, city surveillance cameras captured a vehicle fleeing the scene moments after the shooting. Officers tracked and stopped the vehicle on Steuben Street near the West End Circle, where they found a second man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Three other individuals inside the vehicle were not injured and were transported to police headquarters for questioning.

Suspect Arrested: Jamar Porch, 18

As the investigation unfolded, officers located a suspect who had reportedly been seen running from the area of the shooting. That individual, 18-year-old Jamar Porch, was taken into custody. A firearm was recovered from his person.

Porch is now facing multiple gun-related charges, including:

• Carrying a firearm without a license
• Receiving stolen property

At this time, no homicide charges have been filed, but the case remains active. Detectives are continuing to review surveillance footage, process evidence, and interview witnesses.
