MAN IDENTIFIED FOLLOWING SUSPICIOUS DEATH IN CATOOSA

CATOOSA, OK – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has officially identified the individual found deceased earlier this week in Catoosa. The incident, which has drawn significant public and media attention, is currently being investigated as a suspicious death. Following standard procedure, the deceased was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification and examination. The man has since been positively identified as 49-year-old David Alan English. The Medical Examiner’s Office is currently conducting a thorough autopsy to determine both the cause and manner of death, which remain undetermined at this stage of the investigation.
On the morning of June 23, 2025, at approximately 7:45 a.m., officers with the Catoosa Police Department responded to a distressing report of a body discovered at a local waste site near North 170th East Avenue and East Pine Street. Upon arrival, officers located the body of an adult male, whose identity was initially unknown.
Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery of Mr. English’s body, the Catoosa Police Department promptly requested the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. The OSBI has since taken the lead on the case and is working closely with local authorities and forensic experts to piece together the events that led to this tragic death.
