Fatal Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 51-Year-Old Navin Pungoti in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL — A tragic collision along North Dixie Highway has claimed the life of 51-year-old Navin Pungoti, following a motorcycle crash that is now under investigation by the Boca Raton Police Services Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit.

The deadly incident occurred on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m. along the 2100 block of North Dixie Highway, a stretch of roadway just north of the city’s downtown core and a heavily trafficked corridor lined with businesses and shopping centers.

According to the preliminary investigation, Pungoti was riding a Yiben YB200T motorcycle northbound on North Dixie Highway when a Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to make a left turn out of a shopping mall entrance. In the process of turning, the Jeep crossed into the motorcycle’s path, resulting in a devastating impact.

Emergency responders from Boca Raton Fire Rescue arrived quickly, but despite lifesaving efforts, Navin Pungoti was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

The Traffic Homicide Unit, led by Investigator Casas, is currently conducting a full reconstruction of the crash scene to determine the exact sequence of events and any potential contributing factors, including speed, visibility, right-of-way, and vehicle maneuvering.
