Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots around 5:20 p.m. on July 5 in the 22000 block of Hernando Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered both Romero and Balunas suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel treated both victims at the scene.
