A significant development has been made in the ongoing investigation into the July 6th shooting that occurred on Jesse Fork Road in Saint Albans, West Virginia. Authorities have confirmed the arrest of 53-year-old Christopher Foxx, who now faces serious charges in connection with the violent altercation.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, the incident unfolded after a heated dispute broke out between Foxx and the male victim, who had reportedly come to the residence to visit his ex-girlfriend. The encounter escalated quickly from a verbal confrontation to violence, ending when Foxx allegedly retrieved a shotgun and fired at the victim, striking him twice.
The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the shooting and was transported to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment. While the full extent of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed, officials have stated that the victim remains in recovery.
Deputies acted swiftly to locate and apprehend Foxx. He was arrested without incident and has since been charged with Malicious Wounding, a felony offense under West Virginia law. As of now, Christopher Foxx is being held at South Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
The investigation remains active as detectives continue to piece together the sequence of events that led to the shooting. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, citing privacy and the sensitive nature of the ongoing case.
This incident has deeply unsettled the Jesse Fork Road community, where neighbors expressed concern over the rising number of domestic-related disputes that escalate into violence. Law enforcement officials are urging the public to seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts and to report any threats or suspicious activity before tragedy strikes.
“This is a clear example of how quickly arguments can turn deadly when weapons are involved,” said a spokesperson from the Sheriff’s Office. “We are grateful this situation didn’t result in a fatality, and we will continue our work to ensure justice is served.”
More updates, including court proceedings and victim status, will be shared as they become available.
