On the evening of Thursday, May 22, 2025, a tragic shooting incident occurred in Fort Ann, New York, resulting in the deaths of two 19-year-old men from Glens Falls: Adam M. Darrah and Marcus J. Macaulay. The New York State Police responded to reports of shots fired around 9 p.m. on Clay Hill Road. Upon arrival, troopers found the two victims gravely injured in the roadway. Both were transported to Glens Falls Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead .
Authorities have taken a suspect into custody in connection with the shooting. While the identity of the suspect has not been publicly disclosed, Washington County District Attorney Tony Jordan indicated that murder charges are likely. The suspect is expected to be arraigned at 6 p.m. at the county jail in Fort Edward .
