Last night, a swift and courageous rescue unfolded at the Wolf Lake Boat Launch in Egelston Township, as members of the Michigan State Police (MSP) and Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department responded to an urgent water emergency. The incident, which occurred in the cold, dark waters of Wolf Lake, brought out both the tragedy and the heroism that often define moments of crisis.
Troopers Dushane and Ciroski from the MSP Grand Rapids Post were among the first responders who rushed to assist after reports of a vehicle submerged in the lake. Upon arrival, they encountered a distressing scene—an adult male and a 2-year-old child had already been pulled from the water and were receiving emergency medical treatment on the shore.
