In Loving Memory of Carmen Leigh Eddins
July 17, 1991 – April 14, 2025
Pensacola, Florida
With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Carmen Leigh Eddins, a beloved mother, daughter, spouse, and friend. Carmen departed this world on April 14, 2025, at the age of 33. Her loss is deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will live on in the stories we share, the lives she touched, and the love that remains.
Carmen was born on July 17, 1991, in Pensacola, Florida—a city she called home throughout her life. From a young age, Carmen radiated warmth, energy, and compassion. Her vibrant spirit and natural charisma drew people in, while her sincerity and strength anchored those closest to her. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her presence and make others feel truly seen and heard.
Above all, Carmen was a devoted mother. Her greatest pride and joy came from raising her five beautiful children: Xavier, Matthew, Zander, Giovanni, and King. Each of them carries forward a piece of her heart—her creativity, her resilience, her laughter, and her love. Carmen poured herself into motherhood with endless dedication, always striving to create a home full of support, learning, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brandon Eddins, who stood by her side with unwavering support through life’s joys and challenges. Together, they built a life rooted in shared dreams, laughter, and devotion. Her memory is also cherished by her parents, Janet Carr and Mark McInvale, who raised her with care and witnessed with pride the compassionate woman she became.
Carmen’s impact extended far beyond her family. She was a loyal friend, a thoughtful confidant, and a fierce advocate for those she loved. Her generous spirit, quick wit, and boundless empathy made her someone people turned to in both good times and bad. She had a gift for bringing people together, creating community wherever she went.
Whether it was through her acts of kindness, her love of music and art, or simply her bright and fearless approach to life, Carmen inspired those around her to live with greater purpose and to cherish every moment. She had an uncanny ability to find beauty in the ordinary and to remind us all that every day is a blessing not to be taken for granted.
As we mourn Carmen’s untimely passing, we also celebrate her life—a life that, though brief, was filled with passion, laughter, and love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, in the stories her family will continue to tell, and in the countless lives she touched along the way.
A memorial service to honor Carmen’s life will be held at a later date in Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carmen’s name to a local organization supporting single mothers and children—causes that were close to her heart.
In remembering Carmen Leigh Eddins, let us carry forward the essence of who she was: a loving mother, a loyal partner, a cherished daughter, and an unforgettable soul. May we honor her memory by living each day with compassion, purpose, and deep gratitude for the gift of life.
