In Loving Memory of Kristen Davis Coleman (1983–2025)
A Life of Compassion, Adventure, and Love
With broken hearts and deep sadness, we announce the passing of Kristen Davis Coleman, age 41, of Sims, North Carolina, who departed this life on Friday, April 18, 2025. A gathering to celebrate her life and share memories will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, located at 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway in Wilson.
Kristen was a woman of deep warmth, steady strength, and boundless heart. She lived with a rare combination of gentleness and determination that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. A devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Kristen’s love for those around her was unmistakable and unwavering.
For over twenty years, Kristen dedicated her life to nursing—a calling she embraced with passion and purpose. Whether she was comforting patients during their most vulnerable moments or lending strength to colleagues during long shifts, Kristen was known for her calming presence, skillful hands, and immense compassion. She was not just a nurse; she was a healer, a helper, and a beacon of care in her community.
Kristen also had a spirited love for travel. Exploring new places gave her joy, perspective, and a sense of wonder. Her adventurous heart led her to create beautiful memories, from weekend getaways to long-awaited vacations—each one filled with laughter, discovery, and the kind of stories that would be retold with a smile. She believed in living life fully, and her wanderlust was an expression of her deep curiosity and appreciation for the world.
But above all, Kristen’s greatest legacy is the love she gave her family. She was a proud and devoted mother to her three daughters—Alysha Coleman, Emily Coleman, and Crystal Coleman—whom she raised with unconditional love, strength, and grace. Her role as a grandmother to Caspian Coleman brought her tremendous joy, and she cherished every moment spent with him. Kristen was also a loving daughter to her father, George Davis, and his wife, Linda, a caring sister to Benjamin Davis, and a proud aunt to Alex Davis.
Kristen was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Brenda Davis, whose memory she carried with her always. Their bond was one of deep affection, and they are now reunited in eternal peace.
Those who knew Kristen will remember her for the way she made others feel—safe, seen, and loved. Her laugh was genuine, her advice always heartfelt, and her presence a comfort in times of joy and sorrow alike. She leaves behind a legacy not only of caring, but of courage, kindness, and connection.
As we gather to honor Kristen’s life, we invite all who knew and loved her to share in the memories, the stories, and the laughter that defined her. Let us remember her not just in the sorrow of her passing, but in the beauty of the life she lived.
Kristen Davis Coleman may no longer walk among us, but her spirit remains—forever woven into the hearts of her family, friends, and every life she touched.
Rest peacefully, Kristen. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.
