In Loving Memory of Cyndi Urdaneta
La Porte, Texas —With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Cyndi Urdaneta, beloved wife, mother, friend, and community member, who departed this life on June 12, 2025, due to a heart attack. Her unexpected passing has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Cyndi was a beacon of warmth, compassion, and unwavering faith. Known for her vibrant smile and generous spirit, she touched countless lives with her kindness and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met. A lifelong resident of La Porte, Texas, she was a cherished member of the community and a familiar face to many.
For nearly 30 years, Cyndi dedicated herself to her work as a hairdresser—more than just a profession, it was her ministry. In her salon chair, she offered more than a haircut or a new style; she offered encouragement, laughter, and a listening ear. Her clients often left feeling renewed not just in appearance, but in spirit.
Cyndi’s greatest pride and joy came from her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Alexandrick, and a nurturing, supportive mother to her son, Alec Miller. Their bond was one of deep love, mutual respect, and unshakeable strength. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the comforting presence of someone who always knew just what to say, or how to listen.
Outside of her work and family, Cyndi was active in her church and local causes, always eager to lend a hand or offer a prayer. Her faith was her foundation, and it radiated through her words and deeds. She believed in the power of kindness, the importance of grace, and the strength found in community.
Cyndi’s absence is felt profoundly—not only by her immediate family, but by the many lives she graced with her presence. Friends, clients, neighbors, and extended family members are mourning a woman whose heart was as big as her personality. She was the kind of person who made you feel seen, heard, and valued. Her loss is truly immeasurable.
A celebration of Cyndi’s life will be held on [to be announced] in La Porte, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and find comfort in one another. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a heart health awareness organization in Cyndi’s name, to help prevent others from experiencing such sudden and devastating loss.
Though her time on this earth was tragically cut short, Cyndi’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the love she gave freely, and the memories that will never fade. She was a light in this world—and that light will never be extinguished.
Please keep Alexandrick, Alec, and all who mourn her in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
