In Loving Memory of Andrew McFadyen

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Andrew McFadyen, a beloved regular and cherished friend at Styx Glenrothes. Andrew’s presence was not only a constant within our venue but also a cornerstone of the community that has grown within its walls. His sudden loss has left a void that can never be filled, but his memory will remain deeply rooted in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Andrew was more than just a familiar face at Styx — he was family. His warm smile, infectious laugh, and genuine kindness made every visit brighter. Whether he was enjoying a quiet pint, cheering during a game, or sharing stories with friends new and old, Andrew had a way of making people feel welcome, heard, and valued. His loyalty and friendship touched the lives of staff and patrons alike, and his absence is deeply felt throughout the Glenrothes community.

Over the years, Andrew became a part of the soul of Styx — someone who helped shape the very spirit of the place. He celebrated with us during the good times, stood with us through the hard times, and brought joy with every visit. His passion for life, his easy sense of humor, and his unshakable loyalty are qualities we will never forget.

Many of us have shared unforgettable moments with Andrew — from late-night conversations and spontaneous laughter to the shared silence of simple companionship. These memories are now treasures, reminders of how much he meant to so many.

As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we also celebrate the incredible impact Andrew had during his time with us. He showed us the value of friendship, the importance of community, and the beauty of just showing up, again and again, to share life with those around you.

A memorial gathering in Andrew’s honor will be held at Styx Glenrothes in the coming days, where friends and loved ones can come together to share stories, offer support, and remember the man who meant so much to so many.

Rest easy, Andrew McFadyen.

You were, and always will be, one of our own.

Your seat will forever remain yours, and your spirit will always be a part of Styx.
