On April 13, 2021, a confrontation outside a Circle K convenience store in St. Marys, Georgia, escalated into a shooting incident that left one man hospitalized and another in police custody. The altercation began around 12:30 p.m. on Martha Drive near the Circle K on Osborne Road. According to the St. Marys Police Department, the incident stemmed from a verbal argument between two men, both 38 years old. The dispute culminated when one of the men, Tommy Harrison, allegedly shot the other in the upper torso. The injured man was transported to Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus and later transferred to UF Health Jacksonville for further treatment. Harrison was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault. He was booked into the Camden County Jail, where he was held without bond.
