At just 14 years old, Jose’s life was filled with promise, joy, and compassion. His passing has sent waves of grief through his family, friends, classmates, teachers, and the entire Lexington Two community.
Jose Maria was more than just a student—he was a beacon of light in the halls of Pine Ridge. Known for his kind heart, his love for learning, and his easy smile, Jose brought warmth and joy to every room he entered. He had a special way of making people feel included and valued, often going out of his way to help others, whether it was a classmate struggling with a tough assignment or a friend having a bad day. His positive energy and uplifting spirit will forever remain a part of the school’s legacy.
He was the kind of child who left a lasting impression—wise beyond his years, gentle in nature, and filled with dreams for the future. Whether he was playing sports, participating in class discussions, or simply joking with his friends at lunch, Jose made an impact that far exceeded his age.
The tragedy that unfolded on that Friday morning shook the entire community. The accident, still under investigation, has left families in mourning and a school family devastated. Emergency responders and school officials did all they could, but sadly, Jose could not be saved. The loss of such a young and promising life is truly heartbreaking.
