In Loving Memory of William K. Searight (1976 – 2025)

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William K. Searight of Lexington, Kentucky, who departed this life on April 17, 2025, at the age of 48. A beloved son, sibling, friend, and community member, William’s presence was a source of light and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact of his life will be felt for many years to come.

Born and raised in Lexington, William was a proud Kentuckian whose roots ran deep in the local community. He carried a natural warmth that endeared him to people from all walks of life. Whether it was through laughter, a kind word, or a helping hand, William had a unique ability to connect with others in ways that were sincere and lasting.

Those who knew William remember him most for his vibrant spirit. He had a gift for storytelling, a love for music, and an infectious energy that could light up a room. He was a dedicated friend, always willing to listen and offer support without judgment. His compassion knew no bounds, and he was often the first to step up whenever someone was in need.

Family was the cornerstone of William’s life. He cherished time spent with loved ones and took great pride in being a son, a brother, an uncle, and a cousin. He was especially known for the way he uplifted others—encouraging his family to pursue their dreams and celebrating their successes as though they were his own. Holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings were moments he treasured deeply, and his absence will be profoundly felt at each of them moving forward.

In his professional life, William was both dependable and hardworking, earning the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike. He approached every role with integrity and determination, always striving to make a positive difference, no matter how big or small the task.

William also held a deep spiritual connection that guided him through life’s highs and lows. He was a person of strong faith, and his church community held a special place in his heart. His relationship with God was personal, steadfast, and evident in the way he lived—with humility, love, and generosity.

To celebrate the life of William K. Searight, a visitation will be held on May 2nd, 2025, followed by a funeral service at Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Lexington. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by William are invited to attend and share in honoring his memory.

As we say goodbye to William, let us carry forward the lessons he taught us through his actions: to love fiercely, to help freely, and to live with joy. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever live on in the stories we tell, the memories we hold, and the hearts he has touched.

Rest in peace, William. You were truly one of a kind, and you will be dearly missed.
