It is with profound sorrow that we share the tragic passing of Kevin Madrid, a beloved 10-year-old from Terrytown, Louisiana, who lost his life in a pedestrian accident on the evening of April 18, 2025.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Behrman Highway (LA 428) near Nile Street. Kevin was part of a group of children attempting to cross the highway outside of a designated crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kevin was known for his joyful spirit and the happiness he brought to those around him. His untimely passing has left his family, friends, and the Terrytown community heartbroken.
