In Loving Memory of Tamika Witten
Beckley, West Virginia – April 17, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we share the passing of Tamika Witten, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, friend, and community member, who departed this world on April 17, 2025, at the age of 47. Tamika’s sudden passing has left an undeniable void in the lives of all who knew her, but her vibrant spirit, boundless love, and lasting impact will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
Tamika was a beacon of warmth, known throughout Beckley and beyond for her compassion, generosity, and joyful personality. Her smile could brighten the darkest room, and her laughter was the kind that spread easily and stayed with you long after a conversation ended. She was someone people gravitated toward—a trusted confidante, a caring neighbor, and a fierce supporter of her loved ones.
More than anything, Tamika was a devoted family woman. She poured her heart into her roles as a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, always placing her family’s needs above her own. Her home was a place of comfort and love, filled with home-cooked meals, heartfelt conversations, and memories made over shared traditions. Tamika’s ability to love deeply and unconditionally defined her, and those who received that love are forever grateful.
Her presence extended far beyond her family. Tamika was actively involved in her community and her church, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she found great joy in fellowship, faith, and service. She was a woman of unwavering belief, and her spirituality provided guidance and strength to those around her.
To honor Tamika’s life and legacy, a funeral service will be held on April 26, 2025, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. This gathering will be a time to reflect, to remember, and to celebrate the incredible woman she was—a woman who lived with heart, purpose, and unwavering grace.
As we prepare to say goodbye, we also celebrate a life well lived. Tamika may no longer be with us in body, but her love, lessons, and legacy will echo through generations. Her story is not one of sadness alone, but of inspiration—a reminder of the power of kindness, the importance of connection, and the enduring strength of love.
Please continue to keep the Witten family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of grief. They draw strength from the outpouring of support and the shared memories that are now more precious than ever.
Rest peacefully, Tamika. Your journey on this earth may have ended, but your light will never fade.
