In Loving Memory of Salvador Granillo – Yakima, Washington

In the early hours of Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Yakima community was shaken by the tragic loss of Salvador Granillo, an 18-year-old whose life was cut short during a party on South Keys Road. At approximately 2:00 a.m., a dispute escalated, resulting in Salvador being shot. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office has identified Isreal Barriga Vargas, a 21-year-old from Yakima, as the suspect in this case. Authorities believe he fled the scene in a silver 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer with Washington license plate CRH8859. He is considered armed and dangerous. An autopsy is scheduled, and the investigation is being treated as a homicide.

Salvador’s untimely death has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the broader community. Known for his vibrant spirit and promising future, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
