Firearms Investigation Leads to Arrest of One Suspect; Police Searching for Second Suspect

Naugatuck, CT – May 14, 2025 — In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a serious firearms-related incident at a local gas station set off an intensive investigation by the Naugatuck Police Department, leading to the arrest of one suspect and a manhunt for another.

At approximately 12:15 AM, a concerned motorist flagged down a Naugatuck Police Officer, urgently reporting that someone had just pointed a gun at him at a nearby gas station. Responding swiftly to the information, officers began piecing together the details of what appeared to be a calculated and disturbing act of intimidation.

During the preliminary investigation, officers determined that the victim and the armed suspect were not strangers—they were, in fact, known to one another. Surveillance footage, witness statements, and other investigatory tools revealed that the altercation involved multiple individuals and was not a random act.

According to police reports, a vehicle approached the victim’s parked car at the gas station. One of the passengers exited the approaching vehicle, entered the victim’s car, and brandished a handgun. The suspect reportedly threatened the victim before returning to the vehicle he arrived in and fleeing the scene. The remaining occupants never exited the vehicle.

Further investigative efforts led police to a residence on Field Street in Naugatuck. There, officers located and arrested 20-year-old Ryan Rowe, a Naugatuck resident. Rowe has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Threatening in the First Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree. He was taken into custody without incident and later released after posting a $100,000 bond. Rowe is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 28, 2025.

The second suspect, identified as 18-year-old Arlyn Williams, also of Naugatuck, remains at large. Naugatuck Police have issued an active arrest warrant for Williams and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.

Anyone with information about the incident or who may know the whereabouts of Arlyn Williams is urged to contact the Naugatuck Police Department at (203) 729-5222 or reach out anonymously through the Confidential Tip Line at (203) 720-1010.

The police have released a photo of Ryan Rowe in connection with this case. The investigation remains ongoing, and further updates will be provided as new details emerge.
