Lincoln County, MO — A tragic two-vehicle collision in Lincoln County on Friday night claimed the life of a 30-year-old man from Auxvasse, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Troop C, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m. on May 16, 2025, along Route U near the intersection with U.S. Highway 61.
Authorities report that the crash involved a 1995 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Preliminary investigations indicate that the motorcycle, operated by the 30-year-old male, crossed the center line of the roadway for reasons yet unknown and collided head-on with the front of the oncoming Silverado.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene, but tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m., just ten minutes after the crash. The name of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, identified only as a 34-year-old man from Moscow Mills, Missouri, was reportedly uninjured in the crash. He remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators.
MSHP Troop C is continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash. It is currently unknown whether factors such as speed, alcohol, or weather conditions played a role. No citations or charges have been issued at this time.
