OZARK, Mo. – July 1, 2025 — A devastating head-on collision near Highlandville on Monday evening has claimed the lives of two cherished members of the Christian County community. Deputy Sheriff Michael E. Adams, 52, and his wife Ashley Adams, 45, were tragically killed when their vehicle was struck by a suspected impaired driver who had previously evaded law enforcement.

The crash occurred around 8:50 p.m. on Melton Road, according to a press release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). At the time, Deputy Adams was off duty and riding as a passenger in a vehicle being driven by his wife. Their four-month-old grandchild was also in the vehicle during the collision. Winnipeg, MB – June 30, 2025 — A Saskatchewan man, Miguel Villa RAMIREZ, 29, has been charged with sexual assault following a disturbing incident in the Windsor Park area during the early morning hours of Saturday, June 28, 2025.

According to the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS), the assault occurred around 12:45 a.m. A woman, who had just exited an establishment, was waiting outside for a friend when RAMIREZ, an unknown man at the time, also left the same venue. He approached the woman and led her to a nearby area of bushes, where he sexually assaulted her.

After the assault, Miguel Villa RAMIREZ fled the scene. The woman immediately began screaming for help, eventually drawing the attention of a passerby who called 911. Emergency services responded quickly, and the victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and trauma care. The Winnipeg Police Sex Crimes Unit was notified and immediately launched an investigation.

Investigators were able to identify RAMIREZ with the help of surveillance footage from nearby establishments. Later that same evening, police located and arrested him without incident.

Around 5:30 p.m., a Tulsa Police officer in the area was flagged down by witnesses reporting a shooting that had just taken place. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One man had been shot in the leg, and the other had a wound to the shoulder. Emergency responders transported both individuals to the hospital, where they are currently being treated for their injuries. Authorities have stated that the wounds appear to be non-life-threatening.

Witnesses at the scene told police that a white Lexus sedan approached the bus stop and, without any warning or provocation, someone from inside the vehicle opened fire on the unsuspecting individuals before speeding away.
