STATESVILLE, NC — A Sunday afternoon shooting in the parking lot of the Walmart on Crossroads Drive has led to the arrest of 18-year-old Keandre Terrell Cauthen, while police continue searching for a second suspect. The incident occurred on June 29, 2025, just after 1:35 p.m., when officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at the retail location on 1116 Crossroads Drive.

Upon arriving, officers found a vehicle in the lot that had been struck by gunfire, along with several shell casings. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The gunfire followed a shoplifting incident inside the store, according to investigators.

CAMBRIA, CA — The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has announced arrests in connection with a violent stabbing that occurred on the night of June 29, 2025, in Cambria, leaving two teenage boys injured. The suspects, identified as Miguel Angel Cervantes, 32, and Jose Munoz, 33, both of Delano, California, were taken into custody following a swift response by deputies and assistance from the California Highway Patrol.

At approximately 9:06 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Main Street after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The Round Rock Police Department has arrested Kearra Thomas, 22, of Belton, in connection with the deadly crash. She now faces charges of Intoxication Manslaughter.

The fatal collision occurred on June 29, 2025, around 2:00 a.m., in the 1200 block of northbound I-35, just north of Palm Valley Boulevard.
