Outside of school, Colleen was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She was known for her love of music, her deep appreciation for nature, and her dream of one day becoming a writer or teacher. Her family describes her as their “heart and soul,” a daughter who brought joy into every room she entered and left lasting impressions on everyone she met.

In this time of deep grief, Longview ISD offers its heartfelt condolences to the Cleaver family. Our hearts go out to her parents, siblings, extended family, and friends, as they navigate the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one so young and full of promise. We stand with them in mourning and offer our love, support, and prayers.

To support our students and staff during this time of loss, the district has arranged for grief counselors and mental health professionals to be available on campus in the coming days. We encourage any student or staff member who needs to talk or seek comfort to reach out.

We will find ways in the days ahead to honor Colleen’s memory and celebrate her life—a life that, although brief, made a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and compassion will remain etched in our hearts forever.
